Beynon Sports

My first graphic design internship was at Beynon Sports, the market-leading manufacturer of track and field surfaces. Here, I assisted the marketing department in providing assets for tradeshows, client presentations, product showcases and more. My most rewarding piece of work was from an annual corporate brochure that would be seen by stakeholders, investors and most importantly, potential clients. The brochure contained a brief history of the company, a catalog of our products, testimonials and a list of our current clients/field installations. Beynon would later offer me a permanent position within the company which I accepted.

My team at Playground and I worked closely with the founders of Mano Cornuto to capture the essence of a classic European café with a rich Italian heritage. Located in the heart of Little Burgundy, the highly-rated restaurant became THE place to go to for a light savory snack or an authentic Italian dine-in experience. Our mandate was to design a website that would give their users the same feeling as they would when visiting their actual restaurant. We added bits of hand-picked elements that were nostalgic to the founders and familiar to their clients.

Goodee, a curated marketplace for conscious-minded consumers, came to Playground for our design expertise. We were tasked with retouching images from their collaboration with KOTN, Canada's very own ethical clothing brand. This limited edition pullover, known as 'The Goodee Hoodie', is crafted from sustainably sourced Egyptian cotton renowned for its unmatched quality. My main responsibilities included lens correction, colour adjustments, photo masking, and image-sizing. In collaboration with Playground.

As a bubble tea lover like myself, I was very excited to work with Chatime Quebec, the largest teahouse franchise in the world. They reached out in need of a fresh marketing campaign for their 'back-to-school' season in 2019. In collaboration with Playground, we conceptualized and designed a series of OOH advertising posters featured in nine bus shelters all over the city of Montreal and surrounding areas. This included a bus stunt where we covered all sides of a bus shelter, both internally and externally.

Rated as one of the 'Top 30 Startups of Silicon Valley' according to Alibaba Jumpstarter, !important is a technology company that provides AI-powered safety to protect pedestrians from collisions with automated vehicles. My team at Playground was asked to design an entire brand identity, website, and presentation material for the up-and-coming tech company. We established a set of brand guidelines that reflected a bold, distinctive and trustworthy personality.
